We have just returned from the Dilkhusa Grand in Ilfracombe and I felt I must tell you what a great time the 4 of us had and how impressed we were with the staff, they were exceptional and we are hoping to return for New Year. The food and service were good, nothing was too much trouble for Alex, our waiter and the entertainment first class, Mike Terri was a superb host as well as being extremely talented. The outside entertainers were also great and everyone seemsd to being enjoying themselves. We were snowed in and so instead of leaving on friday 6th we actually left on saturday 7th and once again the staff turned up trumps. Last year we went to Exmouth and that was good (we self drive) but this was exceptional, we won’t hesitate in booking trips through Shearings again and will recommend them highly to all. Well done.

just come back from a 4 night 5 day trip to Ilfracombe with Shearings. Absolutely fantastic, what an amazing company, so well organised, very pleasant staff, nothing too much trouble. We stayed at Dilkhusa Grand, lovely meals, very clean rooms, one of our party was ill when they arrived but the staff ran up and down stairs with drinks and soup and she was soon back on her feet. The entertainment was brilliant, Mike Terri is a star, when we knew we were to get entertainment every night we did not expect it to be of such high quality, he is amazing. And you get free drinks. What more can I say except i shall be booking again. Thankyou.

We first visited Dikhusa Hotel Ilfracombe Summer 2010 and found a warm welcome there.
The entertainment was exceptionally good with star Host Mike Terri. We revisted Dikhusa for a Shearings self drive weekend again in May 2011. The hotel menus were actually even better than 2010 but we were very disappointed Mike Terri is no longer the star host. We hope this talented comedian/singer impressionist returns to the Dikhusa later but meanwhile look forward to Shearings self drive break at Valley of Rocks Lynton at the end of June 2011.

The staff at the great western hotel were so friendly and the food was out of this world.Rooms very clean and well stocked with tea and coffee.
