   We are now regular visitors to Butlins Skegness and we normally go with the butlins.com/termtime25 promo but this time it was Xmas. We have been on the christmas party breaks on many occasions, and now that we have a two year old little boy its even better! Just to see the look on his face and the joy it brings to him to see the many different types of entertainment there is to choose from is amazing! highly recommend this type of break to any family at christmas time! Fantastic.

   we have just returned from a long weekend at bognor regis..our second this year… and have nothing but praise to say about the whole weekend break..firstly i must say .. brilliant value for money we only stayed in the silver room accomodation but it was clean and spacious with tea and coffee provided..also an iron and tv..and although it is a siple thing coat hangers..nothing more irritating than arriving on hol and finding you can not hang your clothes up cos you had no room to pack coat hangers..we stayed half board..and for the price paid the food court selection was excellent and plentyful ..we can not fault it at all.. the whole complex is so very clean and well kept the outside grounds are beautifully landscaped..a lot of thought and planning and expence has gone into this and it shows.. the entertainment and selection things to do are superb..every thing has been thought of and whether young or old there is something for every one.. but for familys with children butlins is exrta special with all the kiddies shows ect .. our grand children love it, we bring them every year..they would much much rather come to bulins with us than go abroard..all the staff must be hand picked for their bright helpful manner..nothing is too much trouble for them..and the red coats are priceless..so full of enthusiasum are so bubbly, hardworking and never stop smiling.. they are every ones best friend and loved by all the kiddies ..a long weekend just is not enough time to do everything there is to do at bulins ..that is what makes it such good value for money ..oh and the pool is fantastic..again every one has been thought of..rappids and slides for the youngsters, bubbles waves and flumes for every one shallows for the babies and doughnut rides and whorlpool drops for the brave..although butins at bonor is right on the beach we just did not have time to go down there.. the main evening entertainment was very good especialy the red coats own show, which was first class entertainment.. the selection of eateries was excelent..we visited the newest hotel for a drink in the bar..wow that was something else..although very busy with lots of guests the atmosphere is happy and relaxed..probably because the staff ang geusts are all happy and relaxed ..as you walk round the whole complex every one seems happy.. well done to all the staff you have got it right thankyou..have already booked and we will return 4th of june next year with all the children and grandchildren.. my one and only moan would be .. can you stop people smoking right outside the dinning hall.. A, it stinks like an overflowing ashtray every time you go in or come out you have to walk through a haze of cigarette smoke and B, if you sit at one of the tables nearer the doors the wind bows the smelly smoke in at you while you are eating which is at best revolting..and not nice for children .. other than that one point i love butlins and would and do sing their praises to every one..    I don’t normally write reviews for holidays but had to for this one, and its not good.
   We stayed at Butlins Minehead and the apartment was dirty and full of ants, the cutlery in the drawers were also dirty and tea-stainedsame goes for the plates and bowls. I know its just a basic sun holiday but I’d like to expect more as we did pay nearly £80 in service charges,and I come on holiday not to have to wash up when we get there!
   The channels on the T.V were only just watchable, they were fussy and the subtitles were on, there was no remote control to correct this and there was no freeview.
   I do also think that people staying in the apartments on the first and second floor should be made aware that there ARE people staying below them and to have a little respect for that, because our stay on the ground floor was horrible,having to put up with constant banging and the light fixtures shaking when we were having tea and just resting before we went back out. Also someone let themselves in to our apartment to test the smoke alarms. It would of been nice for them to knock first though!
   But everything else outside the apartment was good, and my little girl enjoyed it.
